You can do it within the application manually too by going into the LogMeIn Preferences, then Options->Preferences->Advanced and scroll down and uncheck "Detect and download updates immediately". The key is HKLM/SOFTWARE/LogMeIn/V5/AutoUpdate, and then set VersionCheck to 0 to shut off the autoupdater. You can edit the installer using something like Orca to add a registry entry to shut off autoupdate and avoid the prompt though. They can't shut the prompt off without admin rights either, so they tend to get annoyed. The only thing to note is that doing it this way will prompt users to update LogMeIn, but if they don't have admin rights on the machine they won't be able to. Our scheduling software is on-premises only and with LogMeIn Pro, we can access the system remotely. Since I can do it with 2003 I'd think 2008 would work just the same. I've finally been able to fully launch LogMeIn Free through GPO using Windows Server 2003 R2 on Windows 7 clients.
